PR vs. Journalism

"PR always gets the reputation of the “ugly step-sister.” Journalists look down at PR profesionals as obtacles when, in fact, they are the best source of information and, might I add, exclusive, scoop-worthy information. Any PR professional worth their manolos sees the media as just that. A “medium” to deliver information to their audience. Withholding information and creating barriers is usually directed by legal departments, not PR. But then again, maybe that’s just becuase I’m in PR…."
